YORK, Pa., U.S./SALZBURG, Austria: Marion Par-Weixlberger was appointed as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Dentsply Sirona and assumed her new role on Feb. 1, 2019. She has a wealth of experience as a communications expert in the dental industry and specifically at Dentsply Sirona.

Par-Weixlberger started working as PR Manager at Sirona in 2012, subsequently becoming Senior PR Manager, in which capacity she managed the market leader’s corporate and product PR. On Dec. 1, 2016, Par-Weixlberger was named Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Dentsply Sirona, which formed through a merger in February 2016. Since then, she has successfully managed Dentsply Sirona’s internal and external communications globally.

“Marion Par-Weixlberger has been working for our company as a communications expert for several years and with great success in a leading position,” said Maureen MacInnis, Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and Communications at Dentsply Sirona. “Her extensive knowledge of the dental industry and her unceasing endeavors to constantly develop new approaches and inspire others make her the ideal occupant of this position. We are delighted to know that such a pivotal role in our organization is exercised by Marion.”

Par-Weixlberger is based in Salzburg and is supported by a globally active team located in the U.S., Germany and Salzburg. A native of Austria, Par-Weixlberger studied communication sciences at the University of Salzburg. After graduating she worked for several prestigious global PR agencies.

Par-Weixlberger has extensive experience in specialist fields of communication, such as change communication, crisis communication and product PR. Her important contribution to internationalising communication at Sirona was recognized with a FOX AWARD in two categories for the Sirona customer magazine VISION in 2015 and a nomination for the Austrian national PR award Staatspreis Public Relations in 2013. In 2016, a further nomination followed for the European Excellence Award in the Crisis Communications category. In 2016, the Dentsply Sirona employee newspaper was nominated for Ragan’s Employee Communications Awards. In 2017, Dentsply Sirona was nominated for the PR Report Awards for its customer magazine DSIGN, and in 2018, for the SABRE Awards. In 2018, the magazine was honored with two prestigious awards: a gold German Stevie Award and a silver Econ Award.
