COLOGNE, Germany: The successful collaboration between Finnish manufacturer LM-Dental and Style Italiano, a study group of passionate clinicians and researchers specialising in aesthetic dentistry, has once again led to the creation of new instruments. The company is currently showcasing the results of this intense research and product development at the International Dental Show (IDS).

The popular LM-Arte collection by Style Italiano has been expanded with LM-Arte Posterior Misura, an instrument designed for horizontal and vertical measurement of the thickness of composite layers on posterior restorations. Innovative implant surgery instruments called LM Implant Misura MR are being launched, aimed at helping clinicians position the first spiral drill at the correct distance from the implant or natural element. Style Italiano has also put together the ultimate LM-PerioKit, which contains the essentials for the best possible periodontal therapy. The clinical experts are giving live demonstrations at LM-Dental’s booth (F030–G031) in Hall 11.1 at IDS.

In addition to these new instruments, LM-Dental’s intelligent LM Dental Tracking System will be on display at IDS. It is the first commercially available system to use radio-frequency identification technology to efficiently track and monitor instruments and materials in the dental industry.

The company’s contemporary coating technologies, including Sharp Diamond sharpen-free periodontal and Dark Diamond non-stick restorative instruments, are also being highlighted at the trade fair.

LM-Dental develops, produces and markets high-tech dental hand instruments and its tracking system, as well as ultrasonic devices, orthodontic appliances and more. It is one of the fastest-growing manufacturers of hand instruments in Europe and the market leader in the Nordic countries. All of its products are made in Finland and Sweden. LM-Dental is part of the Planmeca Group.
