COLOGNE, Germany: Opening-day visitors to the booth of Nobel Biocare and KaVo Kerr were the first to have the opportunity to discover DTX Studio, a single dental software platform to link all aspects of daily dentistry. Developed by these two leading dental innovators, DTX Studio is an open system designed to revolutionise connectivity and collaboration for dental professionals.

Due to launch in autumn, DTX Studio will be a modular solution, allowing users to select the diagnosis, design and treatment planning modules they need, depending on their role and experience level. Clinicians, radiographers, operators, and dental assistants, hygienists and technicians are all set to benefit from this single software solution, with DTX Studio being accessible from multiple rooms in a dental practice on both macOS and Windows.

At a special event yesterday evening, members of the press were invited to connect with DTX Studio and other new developments from both Nobel Biocare and KaVo Kerr. At the Nobel Biocare booth, product experts presented enhanced workflows and high-quality components aimed at significantly shortening the time to teeth for dental implant patients. These included the next generation of componentry for the company’s original, proven and life-changing All-on-4 treatment concept.

KaVo Kerr also introduced its new launches to the audience. The company debuted what is now its most efficient entry into 3-D imaging: OP 3D. Featuring four selectable image resolutions and up to four fields of view for substantiated diagnosis in 3-D, the OP 3D can obtain a panoramic image in just 9 seconds. KaVo also presented new components of its CAD/CAM workflow, including an intra-oral scanner and the LM 1, LS 3 and CM 1 mills. Kerr shared two major product announcements: Harmonize, a next-generation universal composite infused with a nanoparticle filler that facilitates lifelike restorations with ease—called Adaptive Response Technology; and Endovac Pure, the only system of its kind to use the apical negative-pressure technique.

More information about DTX Studio can be obtained at the KaVo Kerr and Nobel Biocare booth (H020–J029) at IDS in Hall 10.1 or on the website, www.dtxstudio.com.
