COLOGNE, Germany: At the 2023 International Dental Show (IDS), dental professionals have the opportunity to experience Taglus Tuff, the thinnest and “tuffest” crack-resistant retainer material—with a thickness of just 0.8 mm. They can also learn more about the new Taglus Arch arch-shaped aligner and retainer sheet—which reduces plastic waste by nearly 30%.

Taglus is a trusted brand and a global industry leader in the manufacture of innovative aligner and retainer thermoforming plastic sheets. The company uses cutting-edge technology in its US Food and Drug Administration-registered and ISO-certified facility, which covers over 12,000 m2. Taglus products demonstrate excellent quality, accuracy and compliance with international standards and are sold in over 100 countries.

Taglus thermoforming sheets have undergone more than 68 mechanical and biocompatibility tests to ensure safety and compliance with ISO 10993. International quality assurance certifications confirm our high standards.

At IDS, Taglus is launching its latest product, Taglus Arch, which builds on the success of our best-selling product, Taglus Tuff, and offers its innovativeness, sustainability and unmatched quality.

At 0.8 mm, Taglus Tuff is the thinnest retainer sheet. It has 18× greater Izod impact  strength and has been proved to be the most durable and crack-resistant retainer sheet. Additionally, its optimum tensile modulus provides excellent flexibility and comfort. It is the most durable retainer material because of its high breaking strength, elongation, crack resistance and optimum shape memory. As a result, it has greatly helped orthodontists and aligner companies to save the time spent fixing cracked retainers. A patent for Taglus Tuff is pending.

Taglus Arch, for which a patent is also pending, is an arch-shaped aligner and retainer sheet. It reduces plastic waste by nearly 30% and allows for 25% more economical use of material per aligner or retainer owing to its unique shape. Providing these waste and material savings is the company’s way of establishing synergy between products and the natural environment and promoting sustainability. Through this product, Taglus aim to align teeth while also retaining nature. Arch sheets are available in all Taglus aligner and retainer thermoforming sheet variants and are designed to offer more value, thus optimising production costs.

Visitors to IDS 2023 can find out more about Taglus’s innovative products by visiting the company’s booth (#C080) in Hall 2.2. More information can also be found on the Taglus website.
