COLOGNE, Germany: The 2021 International Dental Show (IDS) officially started this morning. With their digital entry tickets and vaccination certificates, thousands of visitors from all over the world entered the Koelnmesse exhibition centre to attend one of the largest dental trade shows in the world, from 22 to 25 September.
Owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, gathering to celebrate the opening was not possible this year. Instead, the official inauguration of IDS 2021 was broadcast via a livestream. This follows the event organisers’ strict #B-SAFE4business concept, which includes a series of measures created in accordance with the Coronavirus Protection Ordinance of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and in close cooperation with the authorities in Cologne that are aimed at keeping exhibitors, visitors and partners safe.
During the next four days, members of the international dental industry will experience trend-setting innovations, countless new products, exciting live demonstrations, practical hands-on sessions and presentations on the most important concepts and technologies for the practices and laboratories of today and tomorrow. Those who cannot attend the trade show personally have the opportunity to take part virtually via IDSconnect.
