Impladenta from CAD&CAM Technologies is a universal implant system designed for compatibility with any type of implant. Suitable for both one- and two-piece implants, it can be used for full-arch restoration with immediate implant placement. Dental Tribune Online caught up with CEO Zdeněk Krotký to discuss the company’s plans for IDS 2017 and beyond.

Dental Tribune Online: Mr Krotký, are you a visitor or exhibitor at IDS 2017?
Krotky: Well, the company is here as a distributor of American digital technology for analysis of the occlusion and of dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint. This is the third time we are participating as a partner for our five European distribution countries.

What does IDS 2017 mean to you and your company?

For both my company and me, our visit to the IDS fair every two years is a significant occasion, as it highlights so many of the new trends and innovations in dentistry.

Your company’s motto is “Make your dentistry different”. What exactly do you mean by this?

Our slogan is a message to dentists that encourages them to use modern technology in their dental practices. By using new technologies, including devices and materials, the workflow in the dentist’s practice can be greatly streamlined and simplified.

What products or technologies on display at IDS 2017 interest you most?
To be honest, so many of the latest products from exhibitors are interesting to me. However, I am particularly interested in new means of online engagement with general dental practitioners and specialists. Through improved online communication, we will be able to provide information about our implant system to dentists in an easier and faster manner. Our priority is to save dentists time.

Will your company be exhibiting under its own name at a future IDS?
Absolutely. IDS 2017 is the last time we will be exhibiting as a co-partner and distributor. At IDS 2019, we will be participating as an exhibitor and manufacturer under our own brand. For the past three years, we have been the owner and producer of Titan Implants. With Impladenta, we have more than 30 years of experience, having started the business back in 1985. Now is the right time to introduce our brand to a global audience.

We understand that, in order for clinicians to distinguish their dentistry, we must provide something different as well—something better.

What are your plans after IDS 2017?

Ubi cavum dentis, ibi Impladenta—wherever there is a cavity, Impladenta will be there.

Mr Krotký, thank you very much for the interview.
